Cleansing is definitely one of our favourite steps in our skincare routine. In this blog article, we gathered questions and answers about your at-home facial cleansing routine. Let’s make it an even better experience!
What is double cleansing?
Double cleansing means using a Cleansing Oil to take make-up and SPF off before using a different, second cleanser. The result: clear skin, less breakouts, and a relaxing cleansing ritual to look forward to every evening.
Which cleanser is best for my skin type?
The key to keeping any skin type balanced is to be gentle. Stay away from aggressive facial cleansers, even if you have oily or acne-prone skin. Stick to a soft and gentle option instead, like the Líkami Cleansing Milk, for the most effective results. Our milky cleanser features our trademark Quadri Gold Complex as well as aloe vera, sweet almond oil and macadamia oil.
Why can’t I use the same cleanser I use on my body for my face?
The skin on your face is a lot more delicate than the skin on your body, as it’s constantly exposed to external influences. Therefore, the cleanser you use on your face should be more gentle than your Body Wash.
Should I use cold or hot water to rinse off my cleanser?
Cold water isn’t ideal to take oil, sweat and grime off your face. However, don’t go for hot water either as it may irritate and dry out your skin. Ideally, rinse your cleanser off with lukewarm to warm water.
Is it necessary to cleanse your face in the morning?
Yes. Just using a splash of water won’t effectively clean your skin. Even though your morning cleanse will be simpler than your evening cleanse, it’s still important to take your time for it with a gentle and hydrating Cleansing Milk. In a hurry or not a fan of using a rinse-off cleanser in the morning? Spritz some Facial Toner on a (reusable) cotton pad and swipe it over your face for a quick cleanse.
How often should I use extra cleansing treatments?
Use your Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Milk daily. Additionally, you can use an Exfoliant Cream and Facial Mask one to two times a week for a deeper cleanse. Don’t just focus on your face, but take both products down to your neck and chest for a complete treatment.
